Bitdeer Technologies Group, a Singapore-headquartered technology firm focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, will jointly develop an AI data center in Norway, with a capacity of 180 MW.
In a release on Monday, Bitdeer said its subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS has entered into an agreement with Data Center Installations AS to develop the data center.
Under the agreement, Data Center Installations will convert the Tydal facility into an AI-focused data center designed primarily for co-location of Nvidia Vera Rubin AI technology. Upon completion anticipated by December 2026, the Tydal facility is expected to be Norway’s largest operational AI data center and one of the largest in Europe by installed capacity.
TDC facility will be built primarily for co-location use according to the Nvidia reference design.
The project can expand AI infrastructure capacity and meet growing demand for advanced data center capabilities, said Haakon Bryhni, Chairman and co-founder of Tydal Data Center AS.
