Datakrew, a Singapore-based deep-tech company developing battery intelligence for electric mobility, has raised $2.6 million in Pre-Series A funding to accelerate the global rollout of its flagship platform OXRED MyFleet, strengthen artificial intelligence (AI)-driven analytics capabilities, and expand operations across Asia, Europe, and Americas.

The firm said in a statement on Thursday that the round was led by Greenwillow Capital Management, with participation from Beenext (who led their seed funding round and are existing investors), 500 Global, SEEDS (now SG Growth Capital), XA Network, AngelList, and others.

This marks a pivotal moment in Datakrew’s journey to becoming a leading mobility intelligence platform for electric vehicle (EV) fleets, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and insurers globally, it added.

“As the world transitions to electric mobility, Datakrew is building the infrastructure that helps organizations extract real value from EVs,

“This funding validates our vision of turning every EV into a smart, data-rich asset, with measurable business and climate impact,” said Dr. Sumanta Bose, Chief Executive Officer of Datakrew.

The newly raised capital will enable Datakrew to scale its next-gen products – OXRED GuardianAI (an AI agent-based autonomous fleet manager) and OXRED InsurShield (a business to business [B2B] insurance solution designed to reduce loss ratios through smart risk assessment) – and deepen customer engagements across Asia, while expanding in the European and American markets.

Datakrew is also expanding its leadership team, onboarding seasoned sales and marketing professionals to drive global growth and partner alliances, as well as hiring deep technical expertise in battery ML and GenAI/large language model (LLM) for their product verticals.

“As EV adoption accelerates globally, EV battery intelligence is quickly becoming the foundation of operability and profitability for fleet owners and OEMs,” said Dr. Wong Mun Yew, Managing Partner of Oriza Greenwillow Technology Fund.

“Datakrew is perfectly timed to lead this transformation with a commercially validated battery-specific insights platform that directly impacts uptime, safety, and cost,

“We believe Datakrew’s products & services have the opportunity to become the industry standard for EV battery intelligence,” he added.

It is noted that Datakrew has recorded and analyzed 10,000+ battery assets, including Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) across seven countries, including deployments with WHA Group, SCG Group, Hong Seh Group, CAM EV, Handal Indah, Yinson Mobility, Indus Towers, and others.

In collaboration with a leading EV fleet operator in Singapore, Datakrew collected real-world operating data to analyze the actual impact of driving behavior, geography, temperature, and charging patterns on battery State of Health (SoH).

Backed by over 105 million kilometers of proprietary, labeled EV telemetry data, Datakrew’s OXRED MyFleet platform delivers predictive insights on battery degradation, driver behavior, and energy efficiency.

“We were impressed by Datakrew’s ability to go beyond traditional telematics and surface high-fidelity, battery-specific insights that directly impact uptime, safety, and cost,

“We believe this is the kind of infrastructure EVs have long needed,” said Vishal Harnal, Managing Partner, 500 Global.

Beenext Managing Partner Dirk van Quaquebeke also said that Datakrew sits at the intersection of EV operations and insurance innovation – two sectors that are ripe for disruption.

“Their ability to generate trust-grade insights from raw battery data opens up entirely new business models,” he added.
