China’s Alibaba Group has introduced Wukong, an AI-focused enterprise platform designed to enable multiple AI agents to coordinate and perform complex tasks within a unified interface, supported by enterprise-grade security infrastructure.
In a statement on Tuesday, Alibaba said Wukong can integrate advanced agent-based capabilities into business operations, positioning it as a productivity tool purpose-built for the demands of business environments.
The launch follows the company’s reorganization under the newly formed Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) Business Group and emphasizes Alibaba’s focus on expanding AI agent applications in enterprise settings.
Wukong is currently in invitation-only beta testing. It is available as a standalone desktop application and as an embedded AI agent within DingTalk, Alibaba’s workplace collaboration tool used by more than 20 million organizations. The platform is integrated with DingTalk and is expected to expand compatibility to other messaging services, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WeChat.
Wukong’s functionality is built on a redesigned version of DingTalk’s interface, structured as a command-line interface and open API layer. This allows the platform to plan tasks, generate instructions, and coordinate agent workflows with limited human input.
Wukong can operate across local systems, web browsers, and cloud platforms. It supports coordinated agent workflows for tasks such as document editing, spreadsheet updates, approval processing, meeting transcription, and research.
Security features include identity verification, access controls, and dedicated enterprise sandbox environments.
Alibaba said its broader ecosystem—including Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Alipay, and Alibaba Cloud—will be gradually integrated into Wukong as modular agent capabilities, along with support for third-party integrations.
The Chinese giant also introduced “One-Person Team” solutions tailored to ten industries, including e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, legal services, finance, recruitment, design, software development, and content creation. These packages can help individuals and small teams manage workflows and scale operations.
