Vietnam’s electric motorbike startup Dat Bike has secured a $4 million investment from local securities firm Thien Viet Securities JSC, the former announced Monday.
The move was made amid Vietnam’s momentum in transition towards green transportation, such as Hanoi capital city’s plan to partly ban gasoline vehicles in the inner areas.
The capital will support Dat Bike’s expansion as demand for electric motorbikes rises across the country. With the latest funding, Dat Bike has raised $51 milllion. The last one was in October 2025, when Dat Bike successfully raised $22 million in its Series B round. That round was led by F.C.C and Rebright Partners, with continued participation from long-term backers Jungle Ventures, Cathay Venture, and AiViet Venture.
The latest investment will help Dat Bike’s strategic priorities, including expanding production capacity, strengthening the supply chain, upgrading the distribution network, and enhancing research and development. These initiatives are expected to help Dat Bike scale operations and prepare for future regional expansion, according to Thien Viet Securities.
Electric vehicles and motorbikes are among key solutions for Vietnam’s urban mobility challenges. With more than 77 million motorbikes currently on the road and around 3 million new units sold annually, Vietnam is one of the world’s largest two-wheeler markets. As governments worldwide push toward net-zero emissions by 2050, the electrification of motorcycles is becoming an important step in reducing urban pollution and carbon emissions.
Dat Bike is one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing electric motorbike companies. The company designs and manufactures its vehicles domestically, maintaining strong in-house capabilities in research, engineering, and production. Its vertically integrated approach allows Dat Bike to reduce reliance on imported components while improving manufacturing efficiency and cost competitiveness.
Dat Bike has rapidly scaled its operations in recent years. The company said that its production capacity has increased five-fold over the past two years. At the same time, its retail network of 3S stores—covering sales, service, and spare parts—has expanded across major Vietnamese cities. Dat Bike aims to reach around 100 stores nationwide by 2026.
