VinFast, the electric vehicle manufacturer under Vietnam’s top conglomerate Vingroup, has unveiled two new ultra-luxury electric models, the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S, as part of a broader restructuring of its automotive portfolio.

VinFast announced its establishment of a three-tier brand structure comprising the Lac Hong ultra-luxury line, the VF mass-market passenger EV range and the Green commercial mobility brand. The Lac Hong marque represents the top end of VinFast’s lineup and now includes the 900 LX, 900S and 800S models. The newly introduced 800S and 900S expand the company’s presence in the high-end segment, complementing the 900 LX, which was launched in 2025, including an armored variant.

In terms of performance, the models can be configured with a tri-motor setup — one motor at the front and two at the rear — producing up to 460 kW. VinFast said the Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled for commercial launch in 2027.

Both new models incorporate design elements inspired by Vietnamese cultural heritage, including motifs drawn from the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields.

Completing its portfolio restructuring, VinFast now delivers three brand lines, including the VF brand of passenger EVs from the compact VF 3 to the larger VF 9, and the Green brand with vehicles tailored for commercial and service applications.

VinFast has introduced more than 15 electric vehicle models to date and reported domestic deliveries of 175,099 units in 2025, maintaining its leading position in Vietnam’s EV market.
