Ourteam, the Singapore-based artificial intelligence (AI) recruiter for Asia, announced Tuesday the close of its pre-seed round led by First Move, with participation from prominent Silicon Valley angels.

The company’s AI screening platform helps companies interview every candidate fairly, consistently, and fast — solving one of Asia’s biggest hiring bottlenecks.

The firm was recently selected for the GenAI Fund FastTrack AI Accelerator, supported by the NVIDIA Inception Program, an initiative that backs high-potential AI startups with GPU access, enterprise collaborations, and investor support across the region.

The company is also in strategic partnership with PayGap Asia to advance pay transparency and AI-enabled workforce equity, reinforcing its commitment to building a fairer, more data-driven hiring ecosystem.

Its early clients across the region include Prenetics, SenangPay, 42KL, Decube and Arysun, reflecting growing adoption across technology, fintech, and education sectors.

The company is also engaged in pilots to deploy AI screening solutions for regional enterprises across Malaysia and Vietnam, underscoring demand for scalable, AI-driven screening solutions.

It is noted that across Asia, a single job opening can attract hundreds of applicants, overwhelming recruiters and stretching time-to-hire.

Traditional screening remains heavily manual, leading to inconsistent evaluations and missed opportunities, a challenge echoed across the region.

According to ourteam’s internal research, companies today receive over 70 candidates per role, yet only an average of three are interviewed and one is hired, with a median time-to-hire of more than 35 days.
