East Ventures, a venture capital firm in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, has on Thursday announced the launch of IndoBuild AI, a dynamic platform for artificial intelligence (AI) innovators to learn, build, and showcase their AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges in Indonesia.

This initiative brings together AI talents and tech ecosystem players to explore new untapped opportunities and accelerate AI adoption in Indonesia, the firm said in a statement.

According to the statement, IndoBuild AI aims to foster knowledge sharing among AI builders in Indonesia through a series of key activities, culminating in a Demo Day.

At the Demo Day, the innovators will pitch their AI-driven solutions to expert judges. Two selected winners will receive cash prizes, perks, and benefits from East Ventures and the program partners.

“IndoBuild AI is designated to bridge this gap by providing a platform for collaboration and innovation,” said Willson Cuaca, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at East Ventures.

“We invite innovators to develop transformative solutions with local impacts, reimagining Indonesia with matured AI,” he added.

East Ventures’ IndoBuild AI will have several sequences of programs, starting from: IndoBuild AI workshop on February 26, 2025, a one-day technical workshop that will bring together AI experts from AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Google.

Topics will include AI’s application in startups, generative AI adoption, and emerging opportunities in the field.

The session will also introduce the Demo Day format and submission process.

Meanwhile, workshop participants’ ideation process will be conducted from February 26 to March 5.

The firm will announce shortlisted innovators on March 10.

The Demo Day will be conducted on March 13, and the selected participants will present their solutions in front of an esteemed panel of judges.
