Trading platform Moomoo Securities Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Moomoo Malaysia) has on Wednesday announced it is enhancing global market access for Malaysian investors with Singapore Exchange (SGX) trading.

Moomoo Malaysia said in a statement that Malaysian investors can now trade stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), real estate investment trust (REITs), structured warrants and daily leverage certificates (DLCs) from the SGX directly through the moomoo app.

It noted that this strategic expansion marks a pivotal step in its mission to empower Malaysian investors with seamless access to global markets, opening up a diverse range of opportunities for Malaysian investors on one of Asia’s premier stock exchanges.

It also said that Moomoo Malaysia’s foray into the SGX is a testament to its unwavering commitment to empowering Malaysian investors with comprehensive access to global markets.

The integration of SGX trading services is complemented by robust educational resources aimed at helping investors understand the nuances of international markets and make informed decisions, it said.

It also noted that this initiative is designed to facilitate a more inclusive investment environment, allowing users to diversify their portfolios with high-potential stocks from Singapore’s dynamic market.

“Our goal has always been to democratize investment opportunities for Malaysians. By integrating SGX offerings into our platform, along with our market insights, tools and
educational resources, we are enabling our users to tap into a diverse and robust market, thereby fostering more informed and strategic investment decisions,

“This is a significant milestone in our journey to enhance financial inclusivity and literacy among Malaysian investors,” said Ivan Mok, Chief Executive Officer of Moomoo Malaysia.

According to the statement, this expansion not only benefits investors but also offers significant advantages to listed companies.

It noted that more and more SGX-listed companies are turning to Moomoo to reach their extensive regional base of investors.

It said that Moomoo’s Investor Relations (IR) solutions for SGX-listed companies have been gaining traction, providing these companies with unparalleled access to a broader investor base in the region.

“For instance, a leading telecommunications company will be hosting webinars with Moomoo for their upcoming earnings release, leveraging our strong client base across the region. This partnership, among many others, highlights the growing interest and engagement among investors, driven by Moomoo’s comprehensive platform and expansive reach,” said Mok.

It is noted that Moomoo Malaysia’s expansion to the SGX also features a competitive pricing structure on trades, including 0 percent commission, significantly lowering the cost barriers for investors.

This initiative is aligned with moomoo’s mission to make investing more accessible, thereby encouraging a broader demographic of Malaysians to participate in the equity markets, it added.

“Our competitive pricing on SGX trades is a strategic move to support investors in building diversified portfolios with reduced cost barriers,

“We are committed to continually enhancing the investment experience on Moomoo, ensuring that our users have the best tools and opportunities at their disposal,” Mok continued.
