Indonesia-based ride-hailing firm GoTo said on Tuesday that it was not in any discussion with its rival Grab Holdings, which also offers similar ride-hailing services across Southeast Asia, about a potential merger.

“Currently, the company is not having any discussion on such matters,” GoTo said in a filing, on Tuesday, according to Reuters’ report.

The news came after Bloomberg reported last week that the companies had restarted discussions for a merger.

One option is for Singapore-based Grab to acquire GoTo using cash, stock, or a combination of the two, Bloomberg said earlier.

Last month, GoTo said TikTok, owned by China’s ByteDance, had completed a deal agreed in December to buy 75.01 percent of GoTo’s e-commerce unit Tokopedia for $840 million.
