Singapore-based used car marketplace Carro is giving away a brand-new, made-in-Singapore Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric vehicle.
Over a span of seven weeks from March 13 to April 29, one lucky winner will be selected through a series of contests on the Kiss92 FM radio station and social media, Carro said in a statement on Wednesday.
It will culminate in an electrifying showdown between six contestants on April 29 at the Carro showroom, with one winner driving it home.
Carro is focused on championing sustainability within the automotive sector, with the electrification movement being a key priority.
Over the last 12 months, the firm has been educating the public on all things electric through a series of collaborations, interviews, and radio spots such as “Fuel Free Friday” on Kiss92 FM.
“Singapore is undoubtedly moving towards greener transportation options, and Carro is excited to champion this pivot,
“The IONIQ 5 is a game-changer in the world of vehicles, and we can’t wait to see who’s the lucky contestant driving it home,” said Aaron Tan, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Carro.
According to the statement, the winner will walk away with the IONIQ 5, a proudly made-in-Singapore EV produced by Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre, Singapore’s first robotics smart factory.
The winner will also get to enjoy hassle-free ownership benefits, such as 10-year EV battery warranty & servicing, free EV home charger or one year free charging credits, personalized EV analytics and battery management for an integrated EV ownership experience.
Hyundai’s IONIQ 5 is a next-generation EV that promises to recreate a new mobility experience.
It was triple-crowned in the 2022 World Car Awards as “World Car of the Year,” “World Electric Vehicle of the Year,” and “World Car Design of the Year,” changing the world’s view on electric vehicles.
Built on Hyundai’s new Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), this dedicated battery electric vehicle platform enables faster charging, increased driving range, more interior space, and better handling.
“Being part of the pre-owned automotive industry, we’re really committed to pushing green, sustainable measures for transportation – and the IONIQ 5 represents a major step forward in that commitment,
“We believe it sets a new standard for EVs and will lead the way in the transition to a more sustainable future,” added Tan.
