The second ORIGIN Innovation Awards by TechNode Global is open for nominations, and you can submit your entries before August 31, 2021, at https://technode.global/origin/innovation-awards/.
ORIGIN Innovation Awards aims to celebrate the spirit of innovation of entrepreneurship across the Asia Pacific and propel the tech community to greater heights.
This year, besides the Startups Awards, ORIGIN Innovation Awards will have two other main awards categories: Corporate Innovation Awards, and Movers & Shakers Awards.
Innovation is the only way to win. Our work at TechNode Global has always been focused on innovation brought by startups, enabled and empowered by venture capital firms, community builders. We also placed great emphasis on celebrating leaders who have made an impact on the tech ecosystem in one way or another.
The Corporate Innovation Awards aim to recognize established companies and innovators who have adopted emerging technologies to transform or make a significant change to their business models and operations. Solutions could have been co-developed jointly with tech partners, or by their in-house tech team.
We welcome corporates to submit their nomination for the two sub-categories below.
- Best Corporate Innovation
- Best Corporate Innovator
Qualifying criteria for the Corporate Innovation Awards category:
- The nominee should have a physical office presence in APAC.
- For Best Corporate Innovation, the nominated innovation should have gone live and be at the execution stage or should have been initiated between January 2018 and April 2021 (three years).
- For Best Corporate Innovator, the nominated innovator should have ongoing innovations initiated between January 2018 and April 2021 (three years).
The Movers & Shakers Awards, on the other hand, recognizes the successes of companies and individuals who have directly impacted the growth and development of the entrepreneurial landscape and created growth in their community.
In its second edition, TechNode Global presents three sub-categories under the Movers & Shakers Awards:
- People’s Choice VCs
- Best Community Builder
- Startup Leader of The Year
Ecosystem enablers such as VCs, incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, interest groups, etc, are welcomed to submit your nomination for the People’s Choice VCs or Best Community Builder.
Meanwhile, Startup Leader of The Year aims to recognize individuals who have exemplified important qualities of a great leader and dedication to their company.
Qualifying criteria for the Movers & Shakers Awards category:
- The nominee should be based in APAC

The Corporate Innovation Awards and The Movers & Shakers Awards are open for both public nominations and self-nominations. Please note that the nominees must be based in APAC. Submit your entries before August 31, 2021.
Timeline
- Nomination period: June 15 – August 31, 2021
- Advisory Committee review, public voting: September 1 – October 31, 2021
- ORIGIN Summit x ORIGIN Innovation Awards: November – December 2021
