By 2021, approximately 60% of Asia’s GDP will come from products and services created through digital transformation, contributing to an estimated $1.16 trillion windfall for regional economic growth. The new digital landscape will reap many benefits, such as smarter and safer cities and creation of higher-value jobs.

In addition, APAC’s tech ecosystem is empowered by numerous communities, venture capitalists, accelerators, and incubators that we refer to as ecosystem enablers. Over the years they have shared their connections, mentorship, and expertise in various ways to provide the best conditions for entrepreneurs to innovate and grow. 

That’s why Technode Global’s first-ever ORIGIN Innovation Awards will provide recognition in two respective main categories: Digital Transformation Awards and Ecosystem Enabler Awards.

The Digital Transformation Award honours the achievements of organisations who have adopted emerging technologies to transform or make a significant change to their business models and operations. Broadly speaking, digital transformation is the process of how companies are reinventing themselves for the digital world. Solutions could have been co-developed jointly with tech partners, or by their in-house tech team.

Qualifying criteria for Digital Transformation Award category:

  • The nominee should have a physical office presence in APAC
  • The nominated project or initiative should have gone live and be at the execution stage or should have been initiated between January 2017 and April 2020

The Ecosystem Enabler Awards celebrates the successes of ecosystem enablers who have directly impacted the growth and development of the entrepreneurial landscape and created growth in their community. Ecosystem enablers should demonstrate strong commitment in mentorship and community building and lead recognized initiatives that bring about positive impact to their community. Spanning VCs, incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, and interest groups, ecosystem enablers can submit entries for one of the two sub-categories: 1) People’s Choice VCs or 2) Community Builder Award. 

Qualifying criteria for Ecosystem Enabler Awards category:

  • The nominee must be based or operating in APAC

How you can be involved 

The Digital Transformation Award and Ecosystem Enabler Awards are open for both public nominations and self-nominations. Submit your entries before August 31 2020. 

Timeline

  • Public nomination and self-nomination: June 1 – August 31
  • Advisory Committee review: September 1 – October 31
  • ORIGIN Summit x ORIGIN Innovation Awards: December 2020 – January 2021
