China’s World AI Innovation Challenge (AIWIN) is calling for developers from Southeast Asia and around the globe to enter its 2020 contest, which is now open to registration.

Part of Shanghai’s annual World AI Conference—perhaps best known for its AI debate last year between Jack Ma and Elon Musk—the AIWIN contest features three distinct challenges:

  • AI Business Scenario Challenge = for developers and young companies with a product or a proof of concept, focusing on healthcare, finance, and smart city tech
  • Elite Challenge = for students and young developers, focusing on face-scanning and fashion retail tech
  • Industry QC Challenge = for anyone, focusing on AI and deep learning as it can help heavy industry

Full details on all the resources, expert mentors, and prizes on offer are on the AIWIN site. Registration is open for several weeks (dates differ for each challenge) ahead of the World AI Innovation Challenge opening in Shanghai on July 9.
