ARTERY Launches AT32F402/F405 MCUs Designed with HS USB2.0 OTG

HSINCHU, Sept. 5, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — In response to the demand of high-speed USB market, USB2.0 has been introduced and widely applied to various devices for its high-speed attachment capacity, plug-and-play and hot plugging functionalities that help to improve user experience and device ease of use. According to the USB2.0 Specification, high-speed (HS) and full-speed (FS) interfaces support data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbps and 12 Mbps, respectively. The USB OTG, as USB2.0 standard supplementary interface, is able to act as a device or host to support externally connected USB flash disk to read file content or expand functions with external devices, such as mouse, headphone and keyboard.

Taking the lead in MCU innovations, ARTERY dived into USB OTG devices and functionalities, and debuted AT32F402 and AT32F405 series on September 4, which incorporate HS USB OTG (internal PHY) and FS USB OTG (internal PHY) (support Xtal-less in device mode) (AT32F405 supports HS+FS only). Both AT32F402 and AT32F405 series are based on ARM®-Cortex®-M4 core operating at a frequency of up to 216 MHz, feature a single-precision floating point unit (FPU), up to 256 KB Flash and 102 KB SRAM, and offer one 2Msps 12-bit ADC, 1 x QSPI, 1 x CAN, 8 x UARTs, 3 x SPIs, 1 x separate full-duplex I²S, 3 x half-duplex I²Ss and 3 x I²Cs to allow flexible development of product functionality for application scenarios requiring high-speed computing power and USB functions such as gaming, industrial automation, USB peripherals, IoT and consumer electronics.

AT32F402 and AT32F405 series provide a variety of package types to meet different memory demands, including LQFP64 (10×10 mm and 7×7 mm), LQFP48, QFN48 and QFN32 in response to diverse memory requirements. The AT32F402 series software and pin packages are compatible with other AT32 MCU series, which makes it easier for developer to upgrade products at a lower cost and with a shorter design period. In addition, ARTERY also provides a complete ecosystem and keeps improving development tools and platforms, including hardware resources such as AT-Link-Family, software resources such as BSP standard library, ICP/ISP programmer, AT32 New Clock Configuration, CAN BitRate and I2C Timing Configuration (GUI), IDE platforms such as Keil, IAR, eclipse, RT-Thread Studio and OS/GUI platforms such as RT-Thread OS, FreeRTOS and LittlevGL, to help developers to get quick start with development, reduce repetitive work and bring products to the market in less time.

Samples of AT32F402/F405 series are available now, and mass production is scheduled to begin in September 2023.
