Tether Capital has made a strategic investment in AIsa, a platform that allows AI agents to access data, software and computing resources and pay for usage through a single interface. The companies announced the investment on October 15 but did not disclose its value or the stake acquired.

AIsa is targeting a gap in services designed for autonomous software. Subscriptions, individual API contracts and payment accounts often assume a human customer, while agents may need access to many tools for short periods or individual tasks.

The platform says developers can connect agents to more than 5,000 APIs, models and software capabilities using one credential. Charges may be denominated in fiat currency or stablecoins, with a usage-based model intended to avoid separate arrangements with each supplier.

AIsa reported that more than 250,000 agents are using the platform and that it has processed over 100 million transactions. These are company-supplied figures; neither company provided independent verification or a breakdown of the transaction definition.

Tether Chief Executive Officer Paolo Ardoino linked the deal to giving people control over what autonomous systems may purchase. The announcement follows Tether’s investment in robotics company NEURA Robotics and broadens its exposure to infrastructure serving AI systems.

The companies did not specify geographic rollout targets, a timetable for integration or technical details of how permission changes and payment disputes are handled. Such controls will be important as organizations consider letting agents buy services without step-by-step human approval.
