As many as 89 percent of Singapore travelers plan to travel as more or even more in 2027, travel app Skyscanner said in a statement on Thursday.

Skyscanner released the figure in its latest “Travel Trend 2027” report, alongside anticipation of of next year’s top trending and best value destinations, and expected shifts in the travel industry.

As many as 80 percent of Singapore tourists are “somewhat” able to disconnect during their travels to different extent, Skyscanner added.

Instead of sacrificing trips, holidaymakers are adapting by pushing their priorities, including authentic local experiences (37 percent), convenience and familiarity (37 percent) and affordability (36 percent).

Cost remains the bottom line for those aged 17 choosing their next travel destination, Skyscanner highlighted. The most important deciding factors are the budget of their accommodations (51 percent) and airfares (51 percent).

Besides, Skyscanner emphasized seven travel trends in 2027. They are signal severance (disconnection during travel), pilgra-merch (local-inspired agenda), sound bound (concert tourism), currency chasers (take advantages of better exchange rates), multi-mooning (multiple honeymoon trips), Grand Odysseys (mythology-inspired travel), and Gym-cation (travel for health & fitness).
