China’s AlphaPai, an AI assistant for investment research, has raised $50 million in a Series B round backed by major Chinese financial institutions, its third funding round in a year.
In a statement on Tuesday, AlphaPai said the round drew strategic investors from across finance, including China Insurance Investment, the national investment platform for the country’s insurance industry, and GF Xinde Investment Management, the private-equity arm of GF Securities. Qiming Venture Partners, Ambrum Capital, Next Capital, Trustar Capital, and Eastern Bell Capital also took part, with China Renaissance as financial adviser.
AlphaPai, developed by Shanghai-based Rabyte Technology, provides AI tools for professional investors, moving from meeting summaries into core investment research and analysis. It serves more than 120,000 professional users across over 8,000 financial institutions and asset managers.
In April, the company launched PaiWork, an AI investment-research workstation combining financial data, research tools and AI agents in one workspace. It has since added a benchmark for testing AI on research tasks and a partner program with more than 40 brokerage research units and data providers.
AlphaPai will utilize the proceeds to increase research-and-development spending, expand its client base across asset classes, and grow abroad while deepening its home market. The Series B follows a pre-Series A of $14 million in October 2025 and a Series A of $28 million in March 2026.
Founder and Chief Executive Luodan Li said building financial AI was a long-term, systematic effort, and that the company aimed to bring its technology to the core of global finance.
