Beyond Border, a Singapore-founded, tech-enabled U.S. immigration platform, announced last Thursday the appointments of former Airbnb executive Kum Hong Siew as Business Advisor and former Zenyum Chief Marketing Officer Bassam Abdel-Rahman as Growth Advisor.
The announcement comes off the back of the company reaching a multimillion-dollar annual revenue run rate while remaining net profitable for the past two years. Revenue also grew 38 percent quarter on quarter in its most recent quarter, putting the company on track to triple annual revenue year on year in 2026, the firm said in a statement.
Over the next 12 months, the firm plans to deepen its U.S. presence while strengthening
its relationships with founders, venture capital firms and startup ecosystems across Asia.
The company will also build its presence in Latin America through regional partnerships and dedicated support for professionals seeking to move to the U.S.
“We have shown that a company founded in Singapore can build a profitable global business by solving a critical problem for founders and highly skilled professionals entering the U.S,” said Fred Ng, Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder of Beyond Border.
“Our next stage is about deepening our reach in the U.S. and expanding into Latin America. Kum Hong’s experience scaling complex international operations and Bassam’s expertise in building regional brands will help us approach that growth with greater discipline,” he added.
As Business Advisor, Siew will advise Beyond Border on business strategy, legal operations and operational scaling. One of Airbnb’s earliest Asia-Pacific employees, he later ran its regional business before becoming Chief Operating Officer of Airbnb China. Before Airbnb, he held roles in Rajah & Tann and Yahoo!.
“Immigration decisions can affect where founders establish their companies, hire key employees and pursue customers and capital,
“Beyond Border has recognized that these decisions sit at the intersection of legal, operational and business strategy. I look forward to supporting Fred and the team as they strengthen the company’s operating foundations and expand into new markets,” said Siew.
As Growth Advisor, Abdel-Rahman will advise Beyond Border on brand, marketing and customer growth. He was previously Chief Marketing Officer at Zenyum, helping scale the startup into a leading consumer brand across nine markets.
Before Zenyum, he held senior roles at 72andSunny, working with brands including Adidas, Google and Grab.
“Nobody uproots their life lightly. Founders and highly skilled professionals who come to Beyond Border are not simply filing for a visa; they are making a deeply human decision about where they can build their futures. Yet much of the immigration industry still treats it like paperwork,
“Beyond Border’s opportunity is to become the brand that understands what is at stake and earns that trust across the United States, Latin America and beyond,” said Abdel-Rahman.
It is noted that founders are increasingly building companies across borders, combining teams and operations in markets such as Asia and Latin America with access to customers, capital and talent in the U.S.
A 2026 study by the National Foundation for American Policy found that immigrants founded or co-founded 59% of America’s privately held billion-dollar startups, demonstrating the contribution of globally mobile entrepreneurs to innovation and job creation.
The company has supported thousands of founders, including those building businesses backed by Y Combinator, Techstars, Antler and 500 Global. Its corporate clients include SuperOps and Biorce.
Through its green-card practice, Beyond Border has also supported individual leaders and professionals working at Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Palantir, Revolut, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan.
