Cybozu is pairing higher first-half sales with a broader Southeast Asia expansion plan for its workplace platform Kintone. The Tokyo-listed company reported first-half sales of ¥20.78 billion, up 16.1 percent year over year, while Kintone product sales rose 19.1 percent to ¥12.24 billion.

Kintone accounted for about 59 percent of Cybozu’s group revenue in the period, according to the company. Cybozu has forecast full-year sales of ¥42.17 billion as it continues to invest in product development, partner channels, and overseas operations.

In Southeast Asia, Cybozu has committed about US$6.4 million to its Malaysia expansion, which it describes as a regional headquarters and operating base. Kintone said customer acquisition in Malaysia rose more than 160 percent in the first half of 2026, while Southeast Asia subscribers grew 13.4 percent and Thailand recorded 300 percent growth.

The company is working on Malay- and Thai-language localization, as well as local partnerships including work with the Selangor Digital Economy Corporation. Kintone Day Kuala Lumpur, scheduled for September 8, is also intended to bring customers and partners together around local deployment use cases.

The combined results and expansion announcements point to the same priority: turning a larger installed base into more regionally adapted software and partner support. That approach will be tested in markets where language, procurement practices, and existing workplace systems differ sharply from Japan.
