Taiwan’s Hon Hai Precision Industry, known globally as Foxconn, will invest $265 million more into its manufacturing operations in Vietnam and $57 million more in Singapore, according to filings with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) dated August 12-18.
The purpose of the move is “long term investment,” according to the filings. The additional investments are in form of “capital increase of subsidiary” through subscription of new shares, Foxconn noted.
The largest of the Vietnam portion was $117 million allocated to Competition Team Technology (Vietnam) Company Limited. Following the transaction, Hon Hai Precision Industry holds 61.55 percent of the entity and Foxconn Singapore Pte Ltd holds 38.45 percent. Competition Team Technology (Vietnam) is known for making TV and components, among other electronic items.
A second investment of $114 million was directed to Foxconn EV Energy & Component (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary associated with electric-vehicle energy and component production. Hon Hai holds 23.53 percent of that company directly, while Foxconn Singapore holds 76.47 percent.
A third capital increase of NT$1.048 billion ($33 million), was made in FuKang Technology Company Limited, a Foxconn manufacturing operation in Vietnam. At the time of that filing, Hon Hai held 4.34 percent of the entity directly and Foxconn Singapore held 95.66 percent. FuKang Technology makes tablets for Apple, among other electronic items.
Besides, Foxconn also approved a $57 million capital increase in eCMMS Precision Singapore Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore.
In a subsequent filing dated August 18, 2026, Foxconn disclosed that Foxconn Singapore had obtained additional shares in FuKang Technology in a transaction totaling $358.4 million. The transaction’s period is October 2025-August 2026. Following the transaction, Foxconn Singapore holds 100 percent of FuKang Technology, with a cumulative amount held of $710.4 million.
Foxconn has been investing in Vietnam since 2007. The total investment can reach $5 billion soon.
