Zeekr, the premium electric-vehicle brand of China’s Geely Holding Group, said its Malaysian unit has extended a discounted direct-current fast-charging rate of MYR1.20 ($0.29) per kilowatt-hour to all DC Handal charging stations nationwide, having previously offered it only at selected locations.
In a statement on Monday, Zeekr said the rate is available to Zeekr owners in Malaysia, featuring more than 5,000 owners after passing a milestone of 5,000 vehicle deliveries. The charging benefit is part of Zeekr Power, the brand’s charging ecosystem, which includes a plan to establish 30 Zeekr Power charging stations across the country over the next three years.
Eddy Lu, general manager of Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia, said the company would continue to work with charge point operators to widen access to fast charging as its customer base grows.
The collaboration with DC Handal forms an important part of Zeekr Malaysia’s broader charging ecosystem, supporting the brand’s ambition to deliver a seamless end-to-end ownership experience.
By extending the MYR1.20 per kWh special DC charging rate across all DC Handal charging stations in Malaysia, Zeekr can make fast charging more accessible and rewarding for all Zeekr owners.
