Inchcape Plus, Singapore’s BYD commercial truck dealer, has launched the BYD T35 electric light truck in Singapore, making it the first market in Southeast Asia to introduce the vehicle following its global debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.

The T35 is powered by BYD’s Blade Battery, delivering 150kW and 340Nm of torque with a range of 367 km on a full charge. The battery charges from 20 to 80 percent in 36 minutes. The vehicle’s unladen weight of less than 1,760 kg and height under 1.98 meters allow access to HDB multi-storey car parks in Singapore. It requires only a Class 3 driving license, making it accessible to small enterprises, logistics operators, and construction fleets.

The T35 adds a light-duty option to Inchcape Plus’s commercial electric vehicle range, complementing the BYD T9R heavy-duty electric truck launched in January 2025, which offers a 320 km range. Inchcape Plus also unveiled its BYD Commercial Mobility Hub at that time.

Jimmy Toh, Director of New Energy Commercial Vehicle and Vehicle Lifecycle Services at Inchcape Plus Singapore, said the T35 offers a combination of efficiency, safety, and sustainability suited to Singapore’s urban logistics environment. Singapore is the first Southeast Asian market to welcome the vehicle, the executive added.

Inchcape Plus is the Singapore subsidiary of UK-listed automotive distribution company Inchcape plc. BYD is a Shenzhen-headquartered electric vehicle manufacturer listed on the Hong Kong and Shenzhen stock exchanges.
