Tencent Cloud, the cloud business under Chinese giant Tencent, has partnered with Pakistan’s leading streaming platform tapmad to deliver live coverage of a major international football tournament to viewers across Pakistan, supporting more than 7 million concurrent viewers at peak with 99 percent uptime and ultra-low latency.

In a statement on Monday, Tencent Cloud said it provided tapmad with three integrated services: Cloud Streaming Services for end-to-end live audio and video including high-quality, low-latency broadcasting, transcoding, and content distribution; a Content Delivery Network spanning more than 3,200 nodes worldwide with more than 250 Tbps of bandwidth capacity; and Media Processing Service for cloud-based video processing and transcoding to support playback across a range of devices and network conditions.

Tencent Cloud said it provided media services for official broadcasting platforms across 17 countries and regions during a major international football championship in 2026.

Audiences expect uninterrupted live sports streaming, the executive elaborated.
