Singapore Polytechnic has inked nine partnerships with organizations from industry, academia and professional associations to strengthen talent and industry transformation in the technology sector of the city state.
The firm said in a statement on Wednesday that it has formalized the partnerships with Dassault Systèmes, CADVision Systems, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, GlobalFoundries, SMC Corporation (Singapore), Women in Aviation Singapore Chapter (WAI-SG), Stolz Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Advantech and GloboAI Robotics.
The collaborations will strengthen talent pipelines in manufacturing, semiconductors, aviation and robotics, while advancing sustainability and digital transformation.
They will provide students, staff and adult learners with industry attachments, internships and exposure to emerging technologies such as agentic artificial intelligence (AI), while helping enterprises build capabilities for regional growth, including opportunities linked to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
Through its latest partnership with GlobalFoundries, Singapore Polytechnic is projected to train more than 2,000 of the company’s employees to support its digital transformation journey.
It will also become the first institute of higher learning in Singapore to deploy the 3DEXPERIENCE Works for Startups and SOLIDWORKS SkillForce programs through a tripartite partnership with Dassault Systèmes and CADVision Systems.
Under this partnership, Singapore Polytechnic will also be the first IHL to be recognized as a SOLIDWORKS Authorised Training Center, strengthening national capabilities in Industrial AI, advanced engineering, and manufacturing design.
Singapore Polytechnic said it will also support companies in adopting Industrial AI more safely and responsibly as the founding training partner for AutomationSG’s Trusted Industrial AI-Ready (TIA-Ready) Framework.
The framework is Singapore’s first industry owned Industrial AI readiness framework and provides companies with a practical pathway to assess AI risks, put governance in place and build trusted capabilities.

Singapore Polytechnic said supported the development of the framework by bringing on board two small and medium sized enterprise (SME) pilot companies, JM Vistec and CADVision Systems, to test its structure, clarity and practical application through AI-related business operation use cases.
Their feedback showed that the framework can help SMEs identify AI-related risks, adopt stronger governance practices and build customer confidence while maintaining business continuity.
A Steering Committee will guide the framework’s development, with AutomationSG and partners such as Singapore Polytechnic supporting training, pilot implementation and organizational readiness.
This phased approach allows companies to build a track record before pursuing ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
