Canada-based NEO Battery Materials has received a purchase order for 10,000 units of its 34Ah drone battery cells from South Korea’s battery pack manufacturer PM Energy Solution, the former said in a statement on Thursday.

The two companies agreed to develop high-energy battery cells for PM Energy Solution’s TeraVitz e-mobility and electric motorcycle products deployed across Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Neo Battery did not provide other financial details of the case.

Products are to be manufactured and delivered in line with periodic demand forecasts from PM Energy and its drone customer base, with the quantity supplied subject to those forecasts.

PM Energy Solution services South Korean defense primes and Fortune 500 automotive companies with energy storage systems and uninterrupted power supply units. Its core business reuses end-of-life electric vehicle batteries using proprietary battery pack manufacturing and AI-based screening technology.

NEO Battery Materials is a Canadian-South Korean battery technology company focused on silicon-enhanced lithium-ion batteries for drones, robotics, electric vehicles, and energy storage systems.

NEO Battery Materials has obtained KC certification for its 11.5Ah cell product under the KC 62133-2 standard, enabling commercial sale in the South Korean market.
