CCHH, a Nasdaq-listed company primarily operating Chicken Claypot and restaurant franchises, has signed a three-year, $50 million agreement to provide maintenance services for data center infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
In a filing with the Nasdaq on Tuesday, CCHH said the deal with undisclosed clients is the company’s entry into the technology infrastructure sector.
Under the agreement, CCHH’s wholly owned subsidiary will provide maintenance services, computing capacity allocation, deployment coordination, technical consultation, and operational advisory services for data center facilities in Malaysia. The cooperation can expand to additional countries in line with the client’s global capacity rollout plans.
The identity of the counterparties remains confidential under a non-disclosure agreement.
Goh Kok E, CEO of CCHH, said the agreement represents a significant step in the company’s evolution as a diversified Nasdaq-listed company. The executive also emphasized the new business does not change the company’s commitment to its core restaurant franchise business.
He said the company intends to pursue a dual-engine strategy combining stable restaurant operations with data center technical support and broader AI computing infrastructure opportunities across Southeast Asia.
CCHH said its management team has developed industry relationships and supply chain resources across Southeast Asia’s data center ecosystem. The restaurant franchise business will continue to serve as the group’s stable cash flow foundation while the new data center services segment represents a growth opportunity.
