Singapore robotics and embodied artificial intelligence (AI) companies supported under the RoboNexus accelerator are scaling into global markets and achieving strong commercial outcomes, as the National Robotics Program (NRP) concludes its inaugural cohort.

Companies including LionsBot, dConstruct Technologies, and Spinoff Robotics have expanded beyond Singapore, entering markets across Asia, Europe, the United States and the Middle East, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) said in a statement on Thursday.

Examples of achievements include securing a $125 million Series A capital raise and a successful exit through acquisition.

These outcomes reflect the broader growth of Singapore’s robotics and embodied AI ecosystem, with targeted programs such as RoboNexus complementing broader government support by connecting companies to industry partners, overseas market opportunities, and real-world deployment pathways.

Among the companies in the inaugural cohort is LionsBot, one of Singapore’s fastest growing companies.

It is now present in more than 40 countries, with overseas subsidiaries and over 6,000 robots deployed globally.

The company continues to build momentum with its latest R5 autonomous cleaning robot.

Launched in 2025, RoboNexus is a venture-building accelerator program designed to fast-track high potential robotics start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore onto the global stage.

Beyond technology development, the program supports companies through curated industry introductions, overseas exposure, research and innovation collaborations, and real-world deployment opportunities — helping them validate solutions, build partnerships, and scale commercially.

“The progress of companies such as LionsBot, dConstruct and Spinoff Robotics demonstrates the strong potential of Singapore-based robotics companies to compete globally, with solutions increasingly deployed across real-world environments and industries,

“Through RoboNexus, we aim to provide not just ecosystem access, but the partnerships, mentorship, and international connections needed to turn innovation into commercial success,” said Tung Meng Fai, Executive Director, National Robotics Program.

Wong Zeng Yi, Assistant Managing Director, Manufacturing, Enterprise Singapore, said Singapore’s robotics small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have demonstrated strong ambition and the ability to compete on the global stage.

“Through the RoboNexus program, these companies have been able to connect with the right partners, expertise, and mentorship to accelerate their growth and internationalization journeys,

“Enterprise Singapore remains committed to supporting local robotics companies with the ambition to scale globally and capture the significant opportunities ahead in this industry,” he added.

Building on feedback and learnings from the inaugural cohort, RoboNexus will enter its next phase with deeper industry mentorship and expanded ecosystem partnerships.

Participating companies will be paired with experienced industry leaders and strategic partners to provide hands-on guidance, industry insights, and connections to support commercialization, market access, and business scaling.

The enhanced program will support the next intake of robotics and embodied AI companies in translating innovation into sustainable growth and global opportunities, while reinforcing Singapore’s position as a trusted hub for robotics development and deployment.

Applications for the next cohort are expected to open in March 2027, with a focus on Singapore-based robotics and embodied AI companies in sectors such as manufacturing, aviation, and maritime, addressing real-world operational challenges.

“Singapore is well placed to help shape this next wave of robotics innovation, with strong research capabilities, close collaboration between industry and academia, and an ecosystem that supports startups from innovation through to commercialization,

“The next step is ensuring founders have access to the right expertise, partners and pathways to commercialization so they can scale with confidence,” said Dr Lim Jui, Chief Executive Officer, SGInnovate.

“RoboNexus plays an important role in enabling these connections, and as a member of the RoboNexus Advisory Board, I look forward to supporting more robotics and embodied AI startups as they grow from Singapore into globally competitive companies,” he added.
