U Power Limited‘s controlled joint venture, Hydro Data JV, will collaborate with regional infrastructure developer CEWA Group and hydrogen systems provider Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. to develop an integrated energy solution for a 100-MWdata center project in Rayong, Thailand.

In a statement on Thursday, China-based U Power Limited (Nasdaq: UCAR) said the project will begin with a 3MW pilot phase to validate the technology and commercial economics before scaling to the full 100MW capacity.

The Hydro Data JV will contribute AI-enabled energy management and system integration capabilities, Guofu Hydrogen Energy will supply power generation equipment and after-sales services, and CEWA Group will lead local infrastructure development, U Power added.

U Power expects to establish a Thailand-based subsidiary by end-July, with the Hydro Data JV commencing operations within 90 days thereafter. The Hydro Data JV itself was established in April 2026 through an agreement with Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. and Cloud Digital Chain Limited.

The integrated energy solution can support both primary and backup power needs for the data center, addressing reliability and sustainability requirements. U Power expects to generate revenue across system design, equipment supply, installation, operations and maintenance, fuel supply, and energy management services.

Jia Li, founder and CEO of U Power Limited, said the agreement marks an important step in expanding into integrated energy solutions for digital infrastructure, and that the 3MW pilot serves as a milestone to demonstrate performance and economics ahead of broader deployment across Thailand and the wider region.
