Taiwan’s Cooler Master, a computer hardware manufacturer, has invested $200 million in Vietnam’s Bac Ninh province and plans to increase the investment to $3 billion.
Cooler Master CEO Andy Lin expressed the plan during a Tuesday meeting with authorities in Bac Ninh province in northern Vietnam. Its first project in Bac Ninh was approved in January 2023 and the capital was increased to $200 million in December 2024. The project covers 10 hectares in Gia Binh Industrial Park, manufacturing cooling devices for AI servers, data centers, and machine learning servers. The project entered production in July 2025 with 1,300 workers and is set to expand the workforce to 5,000 this year.
For the new project, Cooler Master aims to increase the capital to $3 billion and expand the workforce to 40,000 by 2029. The company also aims to lease 100 hectares in Gia Binh Industrial Park for operations, while attracting vendors and partners to the province.
Andy Lin urged Bac Ninh authorities to help the firm with policies and legal procedures, such as incentives for land leases and taxes, residential areas for workers, and administrative procedures.
Welcoming the initiative, Pham Hoang Son, chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee, said the province is willing to support the company.
Bac Ninh, well known as the production base of Samsung in Vietnam, is among the biggest hubs for foreign investment in the Southeast Asian country.
