U Mobile, a Malaysia-based 5G network provider, has signed a three-year 5G wholesale contract with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), following a structured evaluation process.
U Mobile said in a statement on Wednesday that the appointment reflects the strength of U Mobile’s technical expertise, service capabilities and commitment to delivering high-performance next generation 5G infrastructure solutions as well as the successful deployment of its 5G network, which targets to reach 80 percent coverage of population (COPA) by second half of 2026 and is currently progressing ahead of schedule.
Under the agreement, U Mobile will provide end-to-end 5G MOCN services including comprehensive provisioning, seamless system integration, activation, rigorous testing, and continuous optimization of its 5G Multi Operator Core Network (5G MOCN) services and this will enable TM to deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality 5G connectivity to its customers.

According him, the appointment gives the opportunity for the firm to realize the intent of a dual network landscape.
