VentureTECH Sdn Bhd, an impact investment company, has announced a strategic investment of MYR 28 million ($7.16 million) into Delta Spike Asia Sdn Bhd and IX Telecom Sdn Bhd, reinforcing Malaysia’s cybersecurity strength and cross-border digital infrastructure capability.
VentureTECH said in a statement on Thursday that the investments reflect the firm’s role in strengthening critical national capabilities — particularly in cyber resilience and digital connectivity.
It is noted as Malaysia accelerates its digital transformation, safeguarding digital infrastructure and enabling seamless cross-border connectivity have become essential pillars of economic competitiveness.
In line with this approach, VentureTECH focuses on backing Malaysian-owned companies with strong commercial fundamentals, scalable business models and the ability to deliver long-term impact.
The investments are anchored in companies addressing real market needs while reinforcing domestic capacity in strategic digital sectors.
VentureTECH has invested in Delta Spike Asia Sdn Bhd (Delta Spike), a cybersecurity firm delivering end-to-end managed detection and response (MDR) and full-spectrum cyber defense services across the region.
Delta Spike operates a Gen AI-driven security operations model that integrates threat detection, incident response, offensive security testing and digital forensics into a closed-loop cyber defense ecosystem.
The company manages thousands of digital assets across multiple countries, serving enterprise clients, financial institutions and telecommunications providers.
The investment will support the continued development of Delta Spike’s cybersecurity platform, strengthen operational capacity and support regional expansion, reinforcing Malaysia’s cybersecurity ecosystem amid increasingly complex digital threats.
In the digital infrastructure space, VentureTECH has invested in IX Telecom Sdn Bhd, a Bumiputera-owned Hybrid Virtual Network Operator (VNO) and emerging digital telco with service coverage in more than 200 countries and territories.
IX Telecom delivers global connectivity, Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS) and digital infrastructure management through an asset-light, automation-driven model supported by an extensive international partner ecosystem.
The company is transitioning towards a Telco-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform that integrates connectivity, cloud access, managed services and digital infrastructure orchestration.
The investment will support IX Telecom’s regional scaling and platform commercialization, strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional digital connectivity hub while enabling enterprises to access seamless cross-border connectivity.
Commenting on the investments, Ahmad Redzuan Sidek, Chief Executive Officer of VentureTECH, said the investments underscore VentureTECH’s role in supporting Bumiputera-owned companies operating at the intersection of national resilience and economic competitiveness.
“These investments reflect VentureTECH’s focus on building strong, Malaysian-owned companies that address real industry needs and are positioned to scale sustainably,
“Both Delta Spike and IX Telecom operate in sectors that are critical to national resilience — from strengthening cybersecurity readiness to enabling seamless digital connectivity across borders,” he said.
By supporting Bumiputera-owned companies with clear commercial pathways and scalable capabilities, VentureTECH said it plays a catalytic role in strengthening Malaysia’s long-term capacity, while positioning local companies to compete regionally and globally.
The investments reinforce VentureTECH’s mandate as a catalytic investor, supporting companies with strong fundamentals, differentiated solutions and the potential to create sustainable economic and societal impact, said the statement.
