PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem, in collaboration with PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), has launched Blok M Hub Gojek, a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) model integrating public transportation with digital platforms.
GoTo said in a statement on Monday that this collaboration is a joint effort by GoTo and MRT Jakarta to facilitate urban mobility, support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) growth, and empower driver-partners.
“The transformation of Blok M into a modern hub for community activity requires synergy between physical infrastructure and digital innovation,
“We appreciate the Blok M Hub Gojek initiative, established in partnership with MRT Jakarta and GoTo, as it not only facilitates connectivity and mobility but also drives MSME
digitalization and local economic growth in this iconic area,” said Pramono Anung Wibowo, Governor of DKI Jakarta.
According to him, this initiative aligns with the agenda of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in realizing connectivity and synergy across economic, social, and cultural activities, particularly through the development of strategic areas like Blok M.
Meanwhile, GoTo’s President Director and Chief Executive Officer Hans Patuwo said Blok M Hub Gojek brings physical infrastructure and the digital ecosystem together to improve the day-to-day customer experience around Blok M. We are pleased to support the Jakarta Provincial Government’s agenda to advance the TOD concept.
“Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance convenience for the public in their daily activities, while creating more opportunities and tangible benefits for driver-partners and MSME merchants,” he added.
The implementation of Blok M Hub Gojek focuses on three pillars.
Firstly, more convenient transportation access to and from the Blok M area via MRT and GoTo ecosystem services, along with additional pick-up points and special promotions for
GoRide and GoCar.
Secondly, greater visibility for MSMEs through a special curation on the GoFood app.
The diverse culinary offerings of Blok M are now more affordable with dine-in discount vouchers from GoDineIn.
Thirdly, the ease of digital payments using GoPay, including for mass rapid transit (MRT) ticket purchases.
Additionally, merchant digitalization is supported by the GoPay Merchant app, equipped with GoPay Spiker, a payment notification voice device with no installation fees.
“This collaboration strengthens MRT Jakarta’s position as the backbone of modern urban transportation and a driver of transit-based area development,
“By directly connecting MRT Jakarta stations with the GoTo digital ecosystem, we are driving increased accessibility and activity within the Blok M Hub area, making it an increasingly vibrant, convenient, and enjoyable destination for the community,” PT MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat said.
According to the statement, the collaboration between GoTo and MRT Jakarta through Blok M Hub Gojek demonstrates how multi-modal integration can translate into a seamless mobility experience that also supports the local economy.
With access to GoRide and GoCar, greater visibility for MSMEs through GoFood, and payment ease via GoPay, the Blok M Hub Gojek area creates a more vibrant and productive destination.
