Editor’s note: WORQ is a winner of the Best Community Builder at TNGlobal’s ORIGIN Innovation Awards 2021
WORQ, Malaysia-based coworking and flexible workspace provider, announced Thursday the launch of WORQ Well, its inaugural people-first coworking sub-brand at Aspire Tower, KL Eco City.
As Malaysia’s first coworking operator to achieve the WELL Coworking Rating from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in partnership with The Instant Group, WORQ sets a new standard for workplace wellbeing and performance. IWBI is the global authority for advancing health and wellbeing in buildings, organizations and communities. WORQ now joins global industry leaders such as Novartis, Unilever and JLL in this achievement.
Spanning 34,300 square feet and accommodating up to 500 members, WORQ Well reached full occupancy even before its official opening, highlighting its position as a premium, people-first workplace.
“We are incredibly excited to open our first WORQ Well, bringing together an exceptional workplace experience with a truly people-first environment. This is our most ambitious project yet, designed to help businesses attract and retain top talent, and drive stronger organisational performance,” Stephanie Ping, Co-Founder and CEO of WORQ, said in a statement.
WORQ Well strengthens WORQ’s network of transit-oriented coworking spaces, which are designed to empower members to fit work into their lifestyle. Located within KL Eco City’s integrated urban ecosystem, WORQ Well offers direct access to LRT and KTM stations, making it a practical hub for hybrid and flexible work.
The launch of WORQ Well was officiated by Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, underscoring the growing importance of quality, wellness-driven workplaces in supporting Malaysia’s economic growth and talent development.
“As Malaysia continues to strengthen its entrepreneurial ecosystem, workplaces that prioritise wellbeing, flexibility and innovation are essential for sustainable growth. Initiatives like WORQ Well set new standards for work environments and reflect the future of work — one that is people-first, balanced and inclusive,” Sim said.
Looking ahead, WORQ said it will continue to expand its network of coworking spaces nationwide, working closely with landlords who wish to unlock the value of their assets by building community-centric shared spaces that bring a sense of belonging and brand to their property developments.
