SynaXG Technologies, a deep-tech startup founded in Singapore, has recently successfully closed its first funding round of over $20 million.

The round, led by January Capital, Vertex Ventures, and Qualgro, is one of Asia’s most significant early-stage investments in AI-RAN and positions SynaXG as a rapidly rising global leader in AI-native wireless infrastructure, SynaXG said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new capital will be used to accelerate SynaXG’s product roadmap, strengthen global engineering teams, and deepen collaborations with telecom operators and enterprise partners worldwide.

To support scaling demand and global deployments, SynaXG is now preparing for its upcoming Series A fundraising, aimed at expanding commercial rollouts and advancing artificial intelligence (AI)-native radio access network (RAN) adoption across global markets.

“We believe AI-RAN is the foundation of the next technology revolution – much like the iPhone reshaped the mobile era,

“With four years of pioneering work and strong global partners, we are ready to scale and lead the next generation of AI-native wireless networks and Physical AI,” said Xin Huang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, SynaXG.

Founded by industry veteran Xin Huang, SynaXG aims to become the world’s leading provider of AI-RAN solutions and physical AI infrastructure.

The startup, supported by a highly specialized team with decades of wireless expertise, has established itself as a front-runner in full-stack AI-RAN software and related solutions.

“SynaXG is building products and solutions for the next generation of AI-powered wireless infrastructure”, said Chin Chao, Partner, January Capital.

“A true deep-tech AI-powered wireless-infrastructure startup is rare in this part of the world, and SynaXG is well-positioned to pioneer the next wave of innovation in this space,

“The team has both the ambition and the capability to shape the future of AI-driven connectivity, and we are proud to support them,” he added.

Heang Chhor, Managing Partner, Qualgro, said the firm believes that the deep AI capabilities of SynaXG’s team will position the company very well for capturing significant opportunities in a market driven by the demand for significantly more computing capacity.

He sees SynaXG has the potential to become a global player, growing out of Singapore.

AI-RAN is the next-generation wireless architecture where AI is embedded directly into radio networks.

This shift is foundational to the emerging era of Physical AI, where AI interacts with the real world – robotics, autonomous systems, drones, industrial automation, and smart devices.

These applications require ultra-low latency, high reliability, and real-time adaptability, making AI-RAN the core enabling infrastructure.

It is noted that the global momentum behind AI-RAN was highlighted when NVIDIA announced a $1 billion investment in Nokia for AI-RAN development, validating this fast-growing category.

SynaXG’s team has spent nearly four years building and refining AI-RAN technologies.

Its customers and partners today include leading AI-RAN chip companies, network equipment providers and operators.
