Delta Electronics, a global power management and smart green solutions firm, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) to collaborate on advancing hybrid integration of microelectronics through joint research and development.

Delta Electronics said in a statement on Wednesday that the partnership aims to foster innovation in high performance photonics packaging and integration.

Under the MOU, Delta and CDE will jointly pursue research projects, facilitate academic and staff exchanges, and share technical expertise to accelerate breakthroughs in
microelectronics design and integration.

Collaborative activities will include joint research projects, exchange programs between CDE and Delta, participation in seminars and conferences, and the sharing of academic and technical information.

These initiatives are expected to strengthen Singapore’s innovation ecosystem by linking industry expertise with academic excellence.

More importantly, he said this collaboration is about shaping future-ready talent and building innovations that will support Singapore’s ambition to be a hub for deep-tech
innovation.

Meanwhile, Professor Teo Kie Leong, Dean of CDE at NUS, said at CDE, collaboration means working across disciplines, organizations and sectors to co- create solutions that balance desirability, feasibility, and viability.

“Centers like the Singapore Hybrid-Integrated Next Generation µ Electronics (SHINE) Centre, hosted by CDE, bring together multiple institutions in partnership with industry to deliver cutting-edge innovation,

“This partnership with Delta is in the spirit of collaboration, innovation, real-world relevance, and shared responsibility,” he added.

According to the statement, the three-year collaboration will serve as a platform to turn research into real-world solutions, paving the way for new breakthroughs in microelectronics and next-generation technologies.

It also reflects Delta’s goal of building a smarter, greener future together through innovation and collaboration.
