DE-CIX Malaysia, the Malaysian subsidiary of the world’s leading operator of Internet Exchanges (IXs), announced Tuesday the launch of its full suite of interconnection services at NTT DATA’s CBJ1 Data Center in Cyberjaya.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing the country’s digital infrastructure, DE-CIX Malaysia said in a statement.
This newly formed partnership between DE-CIX Malaysia and NTT Global Data Centers reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s role as a regional digital hub.
While DE-CIX and NTT Global Data Centers have collaborated in other global markets, this marks their first local collaboration in Malaysia, unlocking new opportunities for enterprises and network-centric businesses in Southeast Asia.
The core objective of this partnership is to drive mutual ecosystem growth by offering low-latency, secure interconnection solutions for enterprises, cloud service providers, internet service providers (ISPs) and content delivery networks (CDNs).
With DE-CIX now live at NTT Global Data Centers’ Cyberjaya data center, customers of both organizations can experience seamless access to premium peering, direct cloud connections and virtual private network interconnections (VPNIs).
“This partnership is a strategic move to bring DE-CIX’s industry-leading interconnection solutions closer to Malaysia’s enterprises,
“By enabling DE-CIX services in NTT Global Data Centers’ Cyberjaya facility, we create new value for our customers and strengthen the region’s digital ecosystem with greater reach, security and reliability,” said Weng-Yew Wong, Member of the Board of Management at DE-CIX Malaysia.
In return, NTT Global Data Centers can attract more network-centric tenants to its growing roster of enterprise and hyperscale clients.
Both organizations aim to support the development of resilient digital infrastructure in high-growth markets like Malaysia, while contributing to regional connectivity across Europe, Asia, the United States and emerging markets.
Yasuo Suzuki, Managing Director, Asia Pacific (APAC), NTT Global Data Centers, said this collaboration reflects the firm’s ongoing efforts to bring strategic partners like DE-CIX into its facilities to deliver greater performance and connectivity to its clients.
“The presence of DE-CIX in our Cyberjaya campus offers enhanced access to cloud platforms and digital services with the lowest possible latency,” he added.
According to the statement, Cyberjaya stands out as one of Malaysia’s foremost tech-centric cities, offering robust power infrastructure, ultra-fast fiber connectivity and a thriving ecosystem of digital and network-based enterprises.
These strategic advantages make NTT’s Cyberjaya data center an ideal location for DE-CIX to extend its presence.
With DE-CIX’s services now live at the facility, tenants can immediately benefit from a comprehensive suite of interconnection solutions, including Peering (GlobePEER), Cloud Exchange (DirectCLOUD), Blackholing and Virtual Private Network Interconnections (VPNIs), enabling seamless and secure global connectivity.
DE-CIX services are fully integrated into the NTT Global Data Centers ecosystem and live as of Tuesday.
This includes all standard interconnection options such as Ethernet-based cross-connects and VLAN tagging, enabling quick, secure and scalable access to DE-CIX’s global platform.
This collaboration aims to enable and expand the service capabilities of both DE-CIX and NTT Global Data Centers in Malaysia, said the statement.
