The United States-based Cisco and PSA Singapore will jointly develop a proof-of-concept AI-powered observability and incident-management platform for Tuas Port, the port operator’s automated container terminal in western Singapore.
In a statement on Thursday, Cisco said the two have reached a collaboration for the move. The project is part of Cisco’s Country Digital Acceleration program, focusing on national digital priorities.
The platform can bring live data from PSA’s applications, infrastructure and networks into a single view. The system uses AI to show the interaction between different services and infrastructure. It can helps technical teams identify the services affected by an incident, find its root cause, and receive recommended fixes in real time. The platform also includes cloud-native security that aims to block unauthorized access and flag unusual network traffic.
Cisco pointed out that the average annual cost of downtime per organization has reached $300 million. Outages in critical systems, such as the terminal operating system that tracks the movement and storage of cargo, can disrupt port operations and business continuity. The platform can reduce such unplanned outages and prevent them.
Nelson Quek, regional chief executive for Southeast Asia at PSA International, said digital resilience is fundamental to the reliability and efficiency of global supply chains. He said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to innovation in port operations and to Singapore’s position as a trusted hub for trade. PSA Singapore operates a container transhipment hub that handled 44.5 million TEUs of containers in 2025.
Bee Kheng Tay, president for ASEAN at Cisco, said Cisco is committed to giving PSA AI-powered observability and security.
The platform will first be implemented at the Tuas Port Phase 2 Living Lab, a real-world testing environment for refining port innovations. The companies said the work supports PSA’s multi-year digital transformation as Tuas Port expands towards full completion in the 2040s.
