Agmo Academy, a subsidiary of Malaysian artificial intelligence (AI) and digital solutions company Agmo Holdings, and the government-run MyDIGITAL will collaborate to support AI skills training for Malaysians.

In a statement on Tuesday, Agmo said Agmo Academy and MyDIGITAL have signed a memorandum of understanding and a course provider agreement for the move. The collaboration builds on Agmo’s talent development work and reinforces its commitment to Malaysia’s AI ecosystem, alongside its enterprise AI solutions.

The cooperation is under the Rakyat Digital initiative of Malaysia. It can combine MyDIGITAL’s national learning platform with Agmo Academy’s industry training.

Agmo Academy’s AI courses will be listed on Rakyat Digital’s Digital Skills Hub. The courses range from AI productivity for working professionals and AI strategy for executives to technical workshops for developers and architects seeking internationally recognized AI certifications. Employers can use the courses for training claimable under the Human Resource Development Corporation’s programmes.

Beyond online learning, Agmo Academy will act as an on-ground partner for the AI Builder Hub under Rakyat Digital. Participants can build and test their own AI solutions in hands-on sessions with Agmo’s practitioners. The partnership can extend its outreach to Malaysia’s wider AI community.

Tan Aik Keong, CEO of Agmo Holdings, said Malaysians need a place to practise AI as well as learn about it. The Digital Skills Hub and AI Builder Hub can take a learner from a first course to building a working solution, guided by people who deploy AI professionally. The partnership aims to grow the pool of local talent Malaysia, in order to become an AI nation by 2030, the executive added.

Adrian Marcellus, CEO of MyDIGITAL Corporation, said the goal of Rakyat Digital is to equip every Malaysian to take part in an AI-driven economy. He said partnering with industry specialists such as Agmo allows the agency to offer practical training that turns local talent into creators of digital solutions.
