Energy Impact Partners (EIP), a global energy investor, and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) will boost their partnership to advance energy innovation and decarbonisation in Singapore.

In a statement on Friday, New York-based EIP said the two made the announcement at the inaugural Singapore Industry Decarbonisation Forum 2026. The EDB jointly hosted the event with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Advanced Energy and Decarbonisation Office.

Singapore’s research base, industrial infrastructure, and regional connectivity can complement EIP’s global reach, such as energy-industrial companies and startups. They can support the full innovation path, from research and development and test-bedding to scale-up and commercial deployment.

Under the expanded partnership, EIP will connect promising companies to Singapore’s innovation landscape and open channels for technical exchange and strategic collaboration. They will also deepen ties between their networks and look at ways to commercialize and scale new technologies.

The partnership supports Singapore’s Decarbonisation Grand Challenge by creating pathways for companies to develop and scale from Singapore.

Anil Achyuta, partner for frontier investments at EIP, said the partnership reflects Singapore’s ambition in the energy transition. Connecting EDB’s ecosystem with EIP’s global network can help promising energy startups find a path to scale in Singapore and beyond.

Wey-Len Lim, executive vice president at EDB, said partnerships with global investors like EIP help Singapore learn about emerging technologies and industry needs. The partnership would connect technology companies with Singapore’s research and industry ecosystem to develop and scale solutions for the country’s decarbonisation needs.
