The Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) has exited its investment in Vietnam’s electric motorbike startup Dat Bike, after the company redeemed its convertible note.
In a statement on Tuesday, PIDG said the exit follows a $26 million Series B round that Dat Bike completed in stages. The Series B round helped the company scale up, PIDG added.
PIDG, acting through its project development arm InfraCo, provided Dat Bike with a $4 million convertible loan in 2024. Dat Bike announced a $22 million Series B in September 2025 and increased it to $26 million with a second close in March 2026. Japan’s F.C.C. and Rebright Partners co-led the round.
Existing investor Jungle Ventures and the new investors AiViet Venture, Thien Viet Securities, and Cathay Venture also took part.
Son Nguyen, CEO of Dat Bike, said PIDG backed the company when growth capital was scarce. The funding helped expand the manufacturing facility. Dat Bike then scaled monthly production tenfold, widened its sales channels, and strengthened its market position, the executive added.
Gilles Vaes, chief investment and project development officer at PIDG, said the group supports companies at stages where commercial financing is not readily available. Vietnam’s growing electric-vehicle demand and policy support can put Dat Bike in a strong position.
According to PIDG, the funding paid for an upgraded factory, including a warehouse system, battery production upgrades, and product re-engineering. It also expanded Dat Bike’s sales channels from four stores to 70 and created more than 200 jobs across construction, operations, and maintenance.
