Salary Hero, a Bangkok-based financial health platform, has raised $7.6 million in Series A equity funding.
In a statement on Wednesday, Salary Hero said the round was led by Cento Ventures, a Singapore venture firm. Malaysia-based Kairous Capital and M Venture Partners also took part.
The round marks Salary Hero’s official entry into Malaysia. It also expanded the credit facility with regional lenders to $10 million.
The company said the larger facility reflects the strength of its repayment infrastructure and the depth of its employer integrations. The credit line funds on-demand pay, under which employees can draw wages they have already earned before payday.
Salary Hero says informal lenders in the region can charge as much as 30 percent a month. The company currently works with more than 100 companies and more than 300,000 employees in Thailand, and has helped workers avoid about $150 million in predatory loans.
Malaysia is the company’s next market. Salary Hero began operating there in the second quarter of 2026 and expects to work with 50 corporate partners by the end of 2027.
Joseph Lee, managing partner at Kairous Capital, said the firm is backing Salary Hero to reach lower-income Malaysian households, or the bottom 40 percent of households by income.
Ali Fancy, a partner at Cento Ventures, said the product can fit naturally into the workplace.
