GreenNode, the artificial-intelligence (AI) cloud unit of Vietnam’s tech giant VNG, has registered an increase in its charter capital to VND835 billion ($32 million) from VND 245 billion.

GreenNode revealed the update in a filing dated October 13 with the National Business Registration Portal of Vietnam. It does not provide any details about the purpose.

VNG reported second-quarter 2026 consolidated net revenue of VND3,087 billion, up 26 percent from a year earlier. However, GreenNode’s revenue fell 17 percent to VND144 billion.

VNG attributed the decline to a shift from traditional services toward higher-value AI infrastructure. The decrease is also due to adjustment for a partial divestment at a subsidiary.

VNG also highlighted GreenNode is an official cloud partner of Nvidia and serves more than 1,000 enterprise customers in Vietnam, Southeast Asia and the United States, with a focus on banking, financial services and insurance.

The capital increase comes as VNG’s wider group reports strong first-half results. VNG said first-half revenue reached VND5,872 billion, up 29 percent year-on-year.

VNG Group, founded in 2004 as VinaGame, runs online games, the Zalo messaging platform and AI services, and the ZaloPay payments business, as well as its cloud and AI infrastructure. GreenNode operates data centers in Vietnam and Thailand, according to trade reporting.
