Flam has raised $40 million in a Series B round led by QED Investors to develop its interactive AI content products and expand enterprise sales. The company said in its September 15 announcement that existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail participated again, alongside Claypond Capital and several individual backers.

The San Francisco and Bengaluru-based company builds tools for interactive video, 3D product experiences and conversational visual agents. Moneycontrol reported the financing and identified Flam’s Bengaluru operations and Indian founders. The company did not disclose a valuation or the stakes acquired by investors.

Flam said the new capital will fund research and development on its AI models, an expanded product suite and sales growth in international markets. It also said it had signed more than 100 enterprise customers over six quarters. The customer figure was supplied by Flam and was not independently audited in the material reviewed.

Products and regional activity

Flam’s Flicks format lets viewers switch a person, product or scene during video playback. Its Airboards format streams 3D content to a camera interface, where users can interact through touch and voice. The company’s Visual Agents are designed as on-screen characters that can conduct conversations and carry out actions. Those descriptions reflect Flam’s own product account; the release does not establish how widely each format has been deployed.

The company has also described AI models for editing image elements, generating video assets, facial motion, speech and language responses. Its release lists performance figures for streaming and response times, but does not provide independent testing or a common benchmark. Flam’s products target marketing, product visualization, customer support and sales, among other enterprise uses.

Flam said it has partnered with Indonesia’s Elang Mahkota Teknologi, or Emtek, to bring its technology to brands in Southeast Asia. The announcement did not disclose commercial terms, customer rollouts or an implementation schedule for that partnership. Flam named Grab among its enterprise customers, but did not provide details of the work undertaken for the Singapore-based company.

Funding context

QED Investors co-founder Nigel Morris and partner Sandeep Patil were quoted in the issuer’s release discussing Flam’s technology and customer traction. Their comments support the investor’s involvement but are not an independent assessment of the company’s sales or product performance.

Moneycontrol said Flam previously raised a $14 million Series A led by RTP Global in May 2025. It reported that the startup was founded in 2021 by Shourya Agarwal, Malhar Patil and Amit Gaiki. SiliconANGLE also covered the Series B and the company’s focus on interactive videos and 3D experiences. Some investor and customer names differ among published accounts; this article follows the issuer’s release for the new round and leaves disputed additions out.

The financing comes as companies test AI-generated material for advertising and commerce. Flam’s announcement, however, did not disclose revenue, profitability, the number of active customers or how much of its business comes from Southeast Asia. Those measures remain important for judging whether its tools move beyond demonstrations into recurring use.
