Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast has signed strategic memoranda of understanding with 13 dealer partners to develop 27 new showrooms across the Philippines.
The expansion is part of VinFast’s plan to build a total network of 60 dealerships in the country in 2026, the company said in a September 11 announcement.
The planned showrooms will span Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. VinFast said the network will strengthen its presence in Metro Manila and Cebu while adding coverage in areas including Cagayan de Oro, Tacloban and Subic Bay.
VinFast expands its Philippine retail footprint
The new locations are expected to support vehicle sales and after-sales services as VinFast broadens its Philippine distribution network. The company said the 13 partners bring local automotive distribution experience and existing market networks that can support faster rollout.
The dealer group includes Elite North Auto Cars Inc., MG Gateway Mantrade Corp., Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Inc., Britannica United Motors Incorporated, VF Auto Sto Tomas Inc., GR8 Marketing Motors Inc., ARCMA Motors Corporation, Autonomics Motor Corp., Gershom Car Trading Corp., Areza Motor Sales Inc., Central Auto Resources Inc., Autolink Global Motors Inc. and Greenport Mobility Inc.
VinFast has been building several parts of its Philippine EV ecosystem in parallel. In June, the Philippines invited VinFast to explore manufacturing opportunities in economic zones, while the carmaker was also expanding its electric two-wheeler offering and battery-swapping plans in the market.
The latest dealership agreements focus on retail and service reach. A wider physical network could make it easier for customers outside Metro Manila to view vehicles and access after-sales support, which remains an important part of EV adoption as brands expand beyond major urban centers.
Philippines remains a priority Southeast Asian market
VinFast has identified the Philippines as one of its priority markets in Asia. The company has introduced electric cars and motorcycles locally while working with partners on service workshops, charging and battery-swapping infrastructure.
The 27 planned showrooms also deepen VinFast’s reliance on local dealer groups rather than a purely company-owned expansion model. That approach gives the automaker access to existing automotive retail experience and regional footprints while it increases its presence across the country.
VinFast did not provide a detailed opening schedule for each of the 27 locations in the September 11 announcement. Its stated target is to develop a total of 60 dealerships in the Philippines during 2026.
