Emirates will deploy its Airbus A350 on daily flights between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur from September 1, 2026, adding the airline’s latest wide-body aircraft to one of its longstanding Southeast Asian routes.

The A350 will operate flights EK344 and EK345, joining a retrofitted Boeing 777 already serving Kuala Lumpur on EK346 and EK347. Emirates said the combination will expand its Premium Economy offering in the Malaysian capital to 52 seats per day.

The airline’s A350 configuration includes 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats. The aircraft also features 4K and 4K HDR displays on its latest ice inflight entertainment system, wireless charging in Business Class and Wi-Fi using Viasat’s Global Xpress satellite network.

Saeed Mubarak, Emirates Country Manager in Malaysia, said the deployment coincides with the airline’s 30th year of service to Kuala Lumpur. Emirates began serving Malaysia in 1996.

With the A350 addition, passengers departing Malaysia will have access to Emirates’ A350, A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft types on the Kuala Lumpur route. The airline said the A350 service will also provide a more consistent product for connections through Dubai to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Americas.

Malaysia network spans passenger and cargo links

Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Dubai. It also has a codeshare partnership with Malaysia Airlines covering 17 destinations beyond Kuala Lumpur, alongside a separate agreement with Batik Air covering domestic Malaysian and regional Southeast Asian points.

The airline’s Malaysia presence also extends to cargo partnerships. TNGlobal reported in April 2025 that Teleport partnered with Emirates SkyCargo to combine their networks and strengthen trade and e-commerce flows.
