The Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) has on Monday announced the appointment of four new members to its Strategic Advisory Council (SAC) for a fresh two year term from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2028.
They succeed the four inaugural members appointed when the council was formed in 2024, SFA said in a statement.
The incoming members are Pee Beng Kong, Executive Vice President, Singapore Economic Development Board; Wong Zeng Yi, Assistant Managing Director, Enterprise Singapore; Pradyumna Agrawal, Managing Director, Investment, Temasek; Lee Zhu Kuang, Managing Director & Group Head, Innovation Group, UOB.
Established in 2024, the SAC is a group of senior leaders in public and private organizations who provide independent, forward-looking guidance on the key trends, opportunities and national priorities shaping the future of financial services and fintech in Singapore and the region.
The council also helps strengthen connectivity between the industry and government and identifies opportunities for SFA and the fintech community to collaborate across the ecosystem.
As Singapore’s fintech sector continues to evolve amid rapid developments in artificial intelligence, digital assets and financial infrastructure, the incoming members will provide strategic guidance on fostering engagement and growth within the SFA community and between SFA and the wider industry ecosystem, across sub-verticals including payments, fintech infrastructure, lending, RegTech, investment management and blockchain.
They will also be fostering open dialogue within the SFA community and between SFA and key stakeholders including policymakers and regulators; identifying opportunities for growth and innovation for the SFA community; identifying key industry trends and issues shaping the fintech landscape and its future.
The outgoing members are Ong Chen Hui, Assistant Chief Executive, IMDA; Soh Leng Wan, formerly Assistant Managing Director, Enterprise Singapore; Neil Parekh, former partner at Tikehau Capital and former Nominated Member of Parliament; and Sanjoy Sen, Managing Director and Group Head, Consumer Banking Group, DBS.
Meanwhile, Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, continues in his role as Patron of SFA.
As Patron, he supports SFA’s efforts to drive the long-term strategy and growth of Singapore’s fintech sector, and champions the adoption of fintech in Singapore and the region.
“As our sector continues to grow and navigate a volatile macroeconomic environment, their experience and counsel as members of our inaugural Strategic Advisory Council have been invaluable,” said Holly Fang, President of SFA.
She highlighted that the new members bring deep expertise spanning public-private partnerships, banking, investment and industry development.
“Together, we look forward to unlocking new opportunities for growth and advancing the interests of Singapore’s fintech community,” she added.
