Singapore-based assets manager ESR has appointed Dalmar Sheikh as Chief Executive Officer, ESR Data Centers, effective September 1, 2026.

Based in Singapore, Dalmar will lead ESR’s Data Centers business, with responsibility for its strategy, performance and next phase of growth, the firm said in a statement.

Dalmar will oversee the continued expansion of ESR’s digital infrastructure platform to meet increasing demand from hyperscalers and enterprise customers in Asia-Pacific.

ESR said data centers platform is a key growth pillar for the group, supported by a pipeline of more than 3.2 GW across major Asia-Pacific markets, including Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

As adoption of cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital technologies continues to accelerate, ESR said it is well positioned to support growing demand for digital infrastructure across the region.

In his role, Dalmar will lead the execution of ESR’s data center strategy, advancing the development pipeline, deepening relationships with customers, investors and industry stakeholders, and driving new growth opportunities and solutions for the platform.

His appointment reflects ESR’s continued investment in leadership and capabilities as it scales its integrated real assets platform across Asia-Pacific.

Dalmar brings more than 20 years of experience across data centers, digital infrastructure and technology.

He joins ESR from CtrlS Datacenters, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles at DataSphere Advisory, Actis and Amazon Web Services, building extensive experience in the development, operation, and growth of digital infrastructure platforms in Asia-Pacific and other international markets.
