Australia’s Firmus Grid, featuring Singapore office, has received full commitments for a $2 billion strategic equity investment round, bringing its total new equity raised over the past year to more than $3 billion and its post-money valuation above $10.5 billion.

In a statement on Friday, Firmus said the round includes follow-on participation from Coatue and NVIDIA, alongside new investment from funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and other Blackstone vehicles, with additional participation from global trading and technology firm Jane Street.

The capital will accelerate the rollout of Firmus’ Project Southgate AI Factory across Australia and fund early steps toward expansion into other Asia-Pacific markets, including Indonesia.

Firmus builds AI infrastructure based on NVIDIA’s DSX AI Factory Reference Architecture. It has established Australian manufacturing capability for its proprietary HyperCube platform and grid-aware software.

Oliver Curtis, Co-CEO of Firmus, said the investment allows the company to scale across Australia while fast-tracking capacity to expand into Asia-Pacific, including early development in Indonesia serving AI-native customers.

John Watson, Senior Managing Director at Blackstone, said AI infrastructure is among the firm’s highest conviction investment themes and a foundational driver of global growth.

Robert Yin, General Partner at Coatue, said Firmus represents a differentiated approach to AI infrastructure through its combination of proprietary intellectual property, manufacturing innovation, and a repeatable deployment model.

Daniel Pontecorvo, Head of Physical Engineering at Jane Street, said access to reliable, high-performance compute is increasingly important as AI models become larger and more capable, and that Firmus is helping build the infrastructure needed for the next generation of AI.
