Net Zero Challenge, Vietnam’s largest climate technology innovation competition, has opened applications for its fourth edition, offering a total prize pool exceeding VND21 billion ($800,000), with applications open from July 1 to August 31, 2026.

The competition is co-organized by Vietnam’s Touchstone Partners and Singapore’s Temasek Foundation.

In a statement on Wednesday, Touchstone Partners said the total prize pool includes VND15 billion in non-equity catalytic funding awarded as grants to the three top teams without requiring any ownership stake. The remaining VND6 billion features investment prizes and additional support from partner venture funds and enterprises.

Teams will compete across three tracks: Renewable Energy and Carbon Removal, covering solar, wind, energy storage, grid modernization, green hydrogen, and carbon measurement; Food Systems and Sustainable Agriculture, targeting Vietnam’s agriculture and aquaculture sectors; and Circular Economy and Waste Management. The competition focuses on industrial waste recycling, plastic alternatives, and urban recycling infrastructure.

Khanh Tran, Managing Partner of Touchstone Partners, said the program aims to identify, connect, and support outstanding green economy innovation from around the world, creating opportunities for pioneering technologies to be piloted and scaled in Vietnam.

Heng Li Lang, Head of Climate and Liveability at Temasek Foundation, said the program can bring together innovators, investors, industry, and the public sector to turn promising climate technology solutions into real-world impact.
