Right after BEYOND Expo 2026 concluded, some delegates from around the world embarked on the BEYOND Expo Greater Bay Area Innovation Tour, a three-day journey through Shenzhen and surrounding innovation hubs, gaining first-hand insights into some of China’s most influential technology companies.

The tour brought together entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, and ecosystem partners to explore the technologies shaping the future—from artificial intelligence and robotics to smart hardware, advanced manufacturing, and electric mobility.

Day 1: Exploring Consumer Technology and AI Innovation

The tour began with visits to several fast-growing consumer technology companies that have gained global recognition for their innovative products.

Participants first visited Insta360, a Shenzhen-based company renowned for its 360-degree action cameras and immersive imaging technologies. The company has emerged as one of China’s most successful consumer electronics brands, serving content creators, sports enthusiasts, and professionals worldwide.

The group then headed to Shenzhen InnoX Academy (InnoX). InnoX was founded in 2021 by Professor Li Zexiang. Over the past three decades, Professor Li has been deeply engaged in innovation-driven education and venture incubation, successfully nurturing more than 200 hard-technology companies, including 4 publicly listed companies and 12 unicorns. A representative company from this track record is DJI.

InnoX is dedicated to building an end-to-end innovation ecosystem that integrates “education, talent, technological innovation, and new-quality productive forces.”

 

The next stop was Timekettle, a company specializing in AI-powered translation devices designed to facilitate seamless multilingual communication. Its innovative translation earbuds and portable translators have attracted users across business, travel, and education sectors.

Participants also visited Even Realities, an emerging smart eyewear company developing AI-powered glasses that integrate digital information into everyday experiences, reflecting the growing convergence of wearable technology and artificial intelligence.

The day continued at Tencent, one of China’s largest technology companies and a global leader in internet services, gaming, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Delegates gained insights into the company’s innovation strategy and its role in shaping China’s digital economy.

The tour concluded with a visit to Nantou Ancient City, a historic landmark that showcases Shenzhen’s transformation from a centuries-old settlement into one of the world’s leading innovation centers, offering participants a unique perspective on the city’s blend of heritage and modernity.

Day 2: Robotics, Smart Manufacturing, and the Maker Economy

The second day focused heavily on robotics and advanced manufacturing, sectors that continue to drive China’s technological advancement.

The first stop was Pudu Robotics, a leading service robotics company known for its autonomous delivery and hospitality robots. Its solutions are deployed globally across restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, and commercial environments.

Participants then visited the Inno100 Store, an innovation showcase platform featuring cutting-edge consumer products, startup technologies, and emerging hardware innovations from across China’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The tour continued at Bambu Lab, one of the fastest-growing 3D printing companies globally. Known for making high-performance desktop 3D printers more accessible to consumers and professionals, the company has helped accelerate the adoption of additive manufacturing technologies worldwide.

At UBTech Robotics, delegates explored developments in humanoid robotics and intelligent service robots. The company is widely recognized for its research and commercialization efforts in embodied AI and next-generation robotics systems.

Later of the day, the group also visited AI² Robotics, a company focused on industrial robotics and intelligent automation solutions that support manufacturing efficiency and smart factory transformation.

Participants had a brief meeting with Dr. Yandong(Eric) Guo, Founder and CEO of AI² Robotics.

Another highlight was xTool, a leading provider of laser engraving and digital fabrication tools. Its products have become popular among creators, small businesses, and makers, reflecting the growing influence of the global creator economy.

Day 3: The Future of Mobility and Industrial Automation

The final day showcased companies driving innovation in electric vehicles, intelligent logistics, and humanoid robotics.

 


Participants visited BYD, one of the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturers and a global leader in battery technology, renewable energy solutions, and sustainable transportation. The visit provided valuable insights into the company’s vertically integrated approach to innovation and its growing international footprint.

Participants were given the opportunity to see how fast BYD’s flash charging technology can charge.

The tour then moved to Youibot, a provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and intelligent logistics solutions that help factories and warehouses automate material handling and internal transportation processes.

The journey concluded at EngineAI, a robotics company focused on developing advanced humanoid robots and embodied AI technologies. As interest in physical AI continues to grow globally, EngineAI represents a new generation of companies seeking to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and real-world applications.

Connecting Global Innovation Ecosystems

The BEYOND Expo Greater Bay Area Innovation Tour offered participants more than company visits—it provided an immersive experience into one of the world’s most dynamic technology ecosystems. Participants also have the opportunities to meet C-suite executives and founders of the companies.

By bringing global innovators directly into the offices, laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and innovation centers of industry leaders, the tour highlighted the Greater Bay Area’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship, advanced manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

As BEYOND Expo continues to connect innovators from Asia and around the world, initiatives such as the Innovation Tour help foster deeper cross-border collaboration and create opportunities for partnerships that can accelerate the development of future technologies.
